ABOUT ABOUT

A park in motion.

Whether active or at rest, our bodies and our movement enliven our interactions with Fairmount Park. In Motion, In Place captures and transforms this relationship with a series of inspiring performances in some of the park’s most beautiful settings. The roofs around Logan Circle, the grounds of an historic mansion, and the newly opened Discovery Center host three free works by a groundbreaking artist that will change the way you think about Philadelphia’s favorite outdoor spaces.

FAQs

Where will the audience be able to view each performance?
For Roof Piece, guests are invited to experience the performance on the sidewalks and plazas of Logan Circle. Trisha Brown Dance Company performers will be situated on rooftops surrounding Logan Circle, as well as the traffic islands  near the Circle. The center of Logan Circle provides the best vantage point to view the approximately half hour performance. There will be some seating available at Logan Circle for those with limited mobility.

For Foray Forêt at Mount Pleasant Mansion, guests are encouraged to bring their own lawn chairs or picnic blankets to enjoy the performance, which will take place on a stage facing the lawn in the back of the historic house.

All performance locations are ADA accessible.

Do I need to reserve a ticket for each performance?
