Join the Fairmount Park Conservancy on a series of guided kayak trips to explore the Schuylkill River between Walnut Street and the Fairmount Water Works. Hidden River Outfitters, local kayak company will lead the tours and provide kayaks to borrow. 

Kayak trips are $20/per person for members and $40/per person for non-members. Membership to the Fairmount Park Conservancy starts at $35/year. Children 8 years and up are welcome to join in a tandem kayak with an adult. Kids must be 13 and older to kayak in a single kayak.

Your ticket includes a kayak rental, instructional lesson and guided tour. 12 single kayaks and 3 tandem kayaks are available for each trip - register soon and please specify your preference for tandem / single! And please note that for tandem kayaks - BOTH people who want to share the tandem kayak must be registered.

Join us on an all-levels guided kayak trip starting and ending at Manayunk Brewing Company in Manayunk.

WALNUT TO WATERWORKS
Join us on an all-levels guided kayak trip from Walnut Street to the Fairmount Waterworks and back. Meet right by the Walnut Street dock accessible from the Schuylkill River Trail (entrance at 25th and Locus Streets) and from stairs coming down from the Walnut Street Bridge.

Kayak trips are $20/per person for members and $40/per person for non-members and include a kayak rental, instructional lesson and guided tour.

Lastly, we encourage everyone to bike, walk or take public transit. If you need car parking for Schuylkill Banks kayak trips: Metered Parking is available on Walnut, Chestnut, and Market Streets, and along Schuylkill Avenue. The Banks are accessible by ramps at Market and Chestnut Streets and Stairs at Walnut Street (All on the east side of the river). 2-hour Neighborhood Street Parking is available near the 25th and Locust Street at-grade crossing into the Banks. No vehicular access across the tracks! The nearest parking lot to the Walnut Street Dock is available at 24th and Sansom Streets. Walk up the stairs at 24th and Walnut to get to the Walnut Street Bridge, walk along the bridge towards the river, once you're past all of the buildings, walk down the set of stairs that leads to the Banks. To access the trail from this lot without taking stairs, you can walk down 24th Street to Locust Street, turn right on Locust Street and walk one block to 25th and Locust to access the at-grade crossing into the Banks.
