Unfortunately, due to the forecast (high chance of heavy rain and thunderstorms) we will be cancelling the Plant ID Walk that was to take place on Saturday, June 24th. Please join us for the next one which is on Saturday, July 29th – location will be announced about a week before (to ensure an interesting array of plants!).
Join AeLin Compton, Community Initiatives Specialist at Philadelpia Parks & Recreation for a guided walk during which you will learn to identify plants and trees you see along the way; from common plants to those you can eat, and some in between! You'll leave this experience with some helpful basics in plant identification.
These walks will be about 1 mile long and taken at a slow pace to ensure participants have a chance to see and learn to identify a variety of plants and trees.
Please stay tuned - we will be announcing the locations of these walks a few weeks ahead of time to ensure an optimal array of interesting and identifiable plants and trees to discuss.
