Historic Hatfield House (located at 33rd St and Girard Ave, near the juncture of Strawberry Mansion and Fairmount Park) opens its doors for an exhibition and celebratory gathering of artists, musicians and neighbors. All are invited to explore the house, which will feature an exhibition curated by Amber Art & Design, who are undertaking a long-term community artist residency at the Hatfield House, made possible by ArtPlace America.
In addition to introducing their project and approach, Amber Art & Design will present early findings from a process of cultural asset mapping, inspired by deeply treasured histories of culture and community in Strawberry Mansion. As part of an effort to uncover and spotlight local voices, the exhibition will highlight the work of Strawberry Mansion artists and residents.
