Please join us as we toast the first project to go into construction through the FDR Park Plan. Spend an evening under the stars in the courtyard and take in the view of Pattison Lagoon from the stable and guardhouse before it is transformed into the FDR Park Welcome Center.
The Welcome Center will repurpose this historic stable and park guardhouse, dating to the 1926 Sesquicentennial, as a central hub for all park activities, including park offices and information, equipment rentals, exhibition space, food and beverage concessions, and an event venue and meeting space.
The FDR Park Plan is a bold vision to reimagine an historic Olmsted Park to serve 21st Century Philadelphians. The plan honors and restores this remarkable feat of landscape architecture and engineering, while adapting it to meet the current recreational needs of our city and establish its first climate resilient park.
