Ready to hang?
Experience parts of the exhilarating* Philadelphia Outward Bound Challenge Course (not normally available to the public), located at The Discovery Center while getting to know and work as a team with fellow Fairmount Park Conservancy members. Participants will also get a special tour of the observation tower.

Cost for current FPC members: $15 per person
Ages 12 and up are welcome to participate.
All activities will be guided by professionals from the Philadelphia Outward Bound School.
Dual Zip line
Work as a team and take a ride down Philadelphia Outward Bound’s dual zip line. Take in 360-degree views of the Strawberry Mansion Reservoir from the zip platform. Participants will launch off together and will come off the zip line with the help of their team down on the ground.
Vertical Play Gym
Participants will work in groups of 12 to climb the vertical play gym and team ladder. The team ladder involves two sides; one side with large beams of increasing distance from one another and the second side with ropes, hula-hoops and climbing logs for the team to climb.
Aerial Team Course
Participants will work in small groups of 8 to traverse level 1 of the Aerial Team’s Course. Participants have the opportunity to traverse cables in small groups while working as a team to get across.
