ABOUT ABOUT

We’re excited to have Nate Mcintyre bring his Bodyrock Bootcamp workout to East Park at scenic Lemon Hill!

Nate will lead his unique form of high intensity training in the park utilizing basic equipment, park infrastructure, and the Lemon Hill trails as your outdoor gym with a view!

Join us for a special IN-PERSON workout with Nate McIntyre, who was featured in last summer's season of the Netflix hit show Queer Eye. Bodyrock specializes in seriously fun and effective back-to-basics core fitness training. Nate's program is centered by the belief that fitness is not dependent on your finances and before you attempt to master heavy weights or expensive machines, you must first master your own body. All you need is your body and Nate will show you how to achieve your dreams and Bodyrock your world!

Come as you are – no need to bring anything. Equipment will be provided, however students have the option to make their own DIY equipment such as a sandbag kettle bell (Please bring an old pair of sweatpants if you plan to do this).

We will use a combination of standard equipment such as medicine balls and speed ropes, DIY equiptment such as sandbag kettle weights, and natural elements such as trees, logs, and of course group runs along park trails!

This class can be modified for all fitness and strength levels. No experience required.

INSTRUCTOR BIO: Nate McIntyre is the founder of Body Rock Boot Camp and Executive Training. An Ohio naitive and graduate of Villanova University, Nate has been bringing his brand of fitness to Philly since leading workout classes in a local park in 2006. A few years later, Bodyrock moved to its current location at 3858 Lancaster Ave. Nate's been called an "iron fist in a velvet glove" —part drill sergeant and part life coach. But his boot camp doesn’t involve combat gear and heavy backpacks. His boot camp-style training program is about positive reinforcement that inspires wellness and spiritual growth. Nate gained international recognition in June 2020 when he was featured on Season 5, Epsidoe 10 ("Body Rock or Bust") of the hit Netflix series Queer Eye.
