Escape the winter blues with an all-levels vinyasa yoga class held the brightly lit banquet hall of the historic Fairmount Rowing Association! There's no better way to connect with your practice and with other people than yoga in the park. Join us for weekly yoga classes February 19 - March 19 in an iconic, but rarely accessed boathouse overlooking the river. This class will give new meaning to doing the boat pose! : )
These all-levels classes take place Sundays from 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM and will be led by a rotation of experienced teachers from Tula Yoga.

KNOW BEFORE YOU GO
-Please bring your own yoga mat
-Bring your own water and snack
-Appropriate for adults & mature adolescents (minors must be ticketed and accompanied by a guardian)
-There are bathrooms available before and after class
-Due to the large size of the class, we recommend yogis have at least one yoga class under their belt.

POSTPONEMENT / CANCELLATION POLICY: In case of inclement weather making travel unsafe, event will be cancelled and attendees are eligible for a full refund.
MORE ABOUT THE FAIRMOUNT ROWING ASSOCATION:
Fairmount Rowing Association is an amateur rowing club, founded in 1877. The facility, located at #2 Boathouse Row, is on the National Register of Historic Places.
The original building was built by Pacific Barge Club in 1858-59. Quaker City Barge Club bought half the house and built an addition, the current entrance, in 1875. The other half of the building was purchased by FRA. then torn down in 1904 and replaced with the current Flemish-bonded brick structure, designed by Walter Smedley. Fairmount purchased Quaker City in 1945 and connected the interior of the boathouses.
This boathouse originally catered to blue-collar youths living in the Fairmount neighborhood. In 1916, after decades of being rejected, the club was finally allowed to join the Schuylkill Navy. In recent years, the Club boasts being known as the "premiere club for Masters rowing in the mid-Atlantic region." The club holds a number of popular annual social events, and hosts the Quaker City Masters Regatta.
