✨Ready to light up the night? ✨
We're thrilled to announce the much-anticipated official relighting of Boathouse Row on Thursday, March 7th from 6 - 8 PM!
In 2023, the iconic Boathouse Row went dark so the lighting system could receive a major glow-up. Fairmount Park Conservancy partnered with Philadelphia Parks & Recreation to replace and upgrade the previous light system, which includes 6,400 individual LED lights across 10 of Boathouse Row’s historic buildings.
The Official Boathouse Row Relighting Ceremony will take place on Thursday, March 7th from 6 - 8 PM along Martin Luther King, Jr. Drive at the Fish Ladder, directly across the river from Boathouse Row. Bring your own chair or blanket, enjoy music and food trucks, and join City officials, leaders from Fairmount Park Conservancy and Philadelphia Parks & Recreation, and project partners for speaking remarks and a short light show.
Stay tuned for more updates! The best way to stay in-the-know is to register for the event and follow our new Instagram account at @boathouserowlights
