Sound Healing Meditation on the Trolley Trail

By Fairmount Park Conservancy (other events)

6 Dates Through Aug 22, 2021

ABOUT ABOUT

Join us for a one of a kind immersive experience with Bhumi, a sound healing meditation facilitator. Let the soothing sounds of nature meld with rhythmic echos of bowls. Manage your stress, improve your wellbeing, and literally find your grounding on a historic Fairmount Park trail. Hear the singing of meditation bowls from where clang clang once went the trolley!

Please note: There will be a very short group hike (1/2 mile) departing at 8:35 am from the Trolley Trail trailhead entrance (next to Chamounix Hostel).

What is a Sound Bath?
Essentially, a sound bath is a meditation class with ambient sound played by the instructor that aims to guide you into a deeper meditative state. Sound baths use singing bowls and other traditional instruments to play repetitive notes at different frequencies to help bring your focus away from your obsessive thoughts. Think of it as an improvised meditative “concert” in the unique setting that combines nature and built environment.
