First Friday Flicks at the Fountain: Parkside Community Movie Nights

Grab a blanket, meet up with friends and family, and join us for an evening under the stars at our Parkside community movie nights! With movies ranging from heartfelt animations to action-adventures to Marvel Studio favorites, there’s sure to be something for the whole family (schedule below). Movies will take place at the John Welsh Memorial Fountain in front of the Please Touch Museum.

We'll start the night with a short musical performance (30 mins) related to the movie and A Different Vibe food truck will be on-hand each night, serving up tasty fare.


Friday, August 4: Black Panther: Wakanda Forever (PG-13)

  • 8:00-8:30 pm: Drumming performance from Nubienne Productions
  • 8:30-11:00 pm: Film screening

Friday, September 1: Soul (PG)

  • 7:30-8:00 pm: Jazz performance
  • 8:00-10:00 pm: Film screening

Friday, October 6: The Woman King (PG-13)

  • 6:30-7:00 pm: Performance
  • 7:00-9:30 pm: Film screening


-Movies will take place at the John Welsh Memorial Fountain, across the street from the Please Touch Museum. 
-Please note, some of the movies on the list have been rated PG-13. Material may be inappropriate for young children. Parents/Guardians may wish to consider whether it should be viewed by those under 13.
-There will be bathrooms (porta-potties) nearby. 
-There will be food trucks at each event, accepting both cash and card.
-Minors should be accompanied by an adult.
-Feel free to bring your own food and drink.
-Bring water and bug spray. 

PARKING: There is plenty of free parking available in the park. As always, never leave valuables in your car!
